The first build

After ordering parts following a long night at the bars, Tim put together the first 1953 watch in 2016 while his wife was at a concert. Based on an ETA 2824 top movement, the watch represented what Tim hoped would be a departure from the Black Bay homages floating around at the time, using a vintage Explorer dial. Shortly after the watch was made, Tudor announced the Black Bay Bronze available exclusively through a partner in Europe. Although the watch has been through multiple operations, Tim's brother is the proud owner of the first watch in the 1953 leap. It still houses the same movement in the original case, but the dial has been swapped out with a proper 1953 pad printed version.
